Art and Science of Color Prize contest.The L'OREAL Art and Science Foundation, Tokyo Tokyo (tō`kēō), city (1990 pop. 8,163,573), capital of Japan and of Tokyo prefecture, E central Honshu, at the head of Tokyo Bay. , Japan, has announced that it is accepting entries for the 8th Annual L'OREAL Art and Science of Color not of the white race; - commonly meaning, esp. in the United States, of negro blood, pure or mixed. See also: Color Prize. Winners are selected based on "a piece of work that successfully achieves a fresh and original meeting between science and art in color." Types of entries can include art projects, research papers, and other works that meet the contest's requirements. Three places are awarded--Gold, Silver, and Bronze--and each carries a cash prize.
