ATG's solution scored the highest marks on that front. In addition, the report attributed the highest score to Dynamo's ability to offer the flexibility to tailor a firm's applications and add customizable features to adapt to market forces and competitive needs.

When comparing available choices, Forrester cautions against being tied to proprietary or legacy platform technologies. Instead, Forrester emphasizes the importance of building solutions with standards-based technology and recommends that service provider firms should re-center their portfolios on commerce platforms with standards-based application servers like ATG's Dynamo. ATG got highest marks for its strong scalable foundation, addressing the need for firms hungry for flexibility and wary of being locked in by proprietary technologies.
