Art Company Paints Exciting Picture of Extreme Experience for Austin, Texas Family.

BOLINGBROOK, Ill. -- The impact art can make in a family's life was an important consideration when ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition rolled into Austin to help the O'Donnell family. Those familiar with the show know the storyline; a deserving family receives a surprise home makeover by Ty Pennington and his team of builders, designers, contractors, and volunteers all within one week.

Responding to a specific need for art and decor for this new home, Personal Preference, Inc., a national art company with headquarters in Bolingbrook, Illinois, stepped in to donate framed artwork. The designers with the show requested specific types of art, and were thrilled to see Personal Preference's overwhelming inventory of styles and color palettes.

Nick Madori, CEO of Personal Preference, was quick to respond to the design team's needs. "The opportunity to be connected with the show paralleled the values that our company was founded on," he said. "The quality and variety of art we sell is one aspect, but the value we put on improving people's lives, whether it's the people who buy our art, our Art Consultants or our own employees, it's all very important to us," he added.

"We knew we wanted to help this family, so once the show's designers made their selections, our team of in-house designers, framers and production crew stepped in to make it all happen," he said. "We believe in helping improve lives in many ways, whether it's helping people find ways to make their homes more beautiful, or giving back to the community through fundraising, or providing family-friendly business opportunities across the country - it all works together."

From the very beginning, Jan Madori, founder of Personal Preference, had a strong desire to impact people's lives. Her vision was realized in the creation of Personal Preference and by establishing the Little Angel Foundation in 2001. Since then, the Little Angel Foundation has contributed $1 million annually to organizations that provide help for at-risk kids and victims of domestic violence. The charitable work doesn't end there. Personal Preference has continually helped non-profit agencies hold fundraisers where they sell artwork and a percentage of their sales directly supports their organization. "This is a great way for groups to make money by selling something that people can use in their homes," Madori said. "Those who buy the art are not only receiving a great product, but they're helping someone in the process," he added.

As the ABC show gave Personal Preference the opportunity to give back to deserving families, the show's designers also realized that they had an art resource that made their jobs easier as well. The ability to view and order artwork online from the Personal Preference website (www.personalpreference.com) is something that the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition design team saw as appealing as they travel from city to city. They are now able to shop online and place their order anytime, anywhere from their laptops.

Diane Korman, Senior Producer for the show, had this to say about Personal Preference, "We were proud that Personal Preference stepped up to help this deserving family," said Diane Korman, Senior Producer for the show. "It is vendors like them that make miracles happen each week on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition."

Peggy Heenan, VP of Sales for Personal Preference, remarked on the edge they have over other online art galleries. "Our service is unmatched, because we bring the art right to clients and provide selection assistance that makes the purchasing experience a breeze, that is what makes Personal Preference unique. We guarantee our customers a great experience by providing unmatched product quality, value and our art and framing design expertise," she said. "We remove the guess work and make purchasing art easy," Heenan added.

For more than 25 years, Personal Preference has been transforming homes and work spaces all across America through its nationwide network of independent Art Consultants and its exquisite line of framed artwork on canvas.

Located in its 114,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art headquarters in Bolingbrook, Illinois, Personal Preference is busily stretching and framing over 1,000 paintings a week to meet the ever-growing demand of clients across the country. Personal Preference has been named one of the top 500 women-owned businesses in America by Working Woman magazine, one of the top 17 women-owned Chicago businesses by Crain's Chicago Business, and the Illinois/Northwest Indiana Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young. The company is also a member of the University of Illinois Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame.

Personal Preference was founded on the vision and four core values of Jan Madori . . . service, excellence, integrity, and creating an encouraging and respectful environment. These values are reflected throughout the company and are the source of its success.

Personal Preference offers a unique combination of quality art, outstanding prices, convenience, and service. Buying art has never been easier! Personal Preference, Inc. (PPI), 800 Remington Boulevard, Bolingbrook, Illinois 60440. (630) 226-0700. http://www.personalpreference.com.
