Leave it to the Norwegians to combine their passions for nature and for culture by utilizing their own dramatic scenery as a modern art installation. Artscape Nordland is a unique and ambitious collection of pieces by artists representing 18 countries, of 33 works placed in gorgeous natural settings throughout the fylke, or county, of Nordland; some settings are so remote you need to hike to them. The works make spectators look not only at the object but also how the art interacts with the outdoor environment.
