Arrowhead Subsidiary, Insert Therapeutics, to Present at NSTI Nanotech 07 Conference.


PASADENA, Calif. -- Arrowhead Research Corporation (Nasdaq:ARWR) announced today that Dr. Thomas Schluep, Chief Scientific Officer of Insert Therapeutics, a majority owned subsidiary of Arrowhead, will present at the Nanotech for Investors Summit at the Nano Science and Technology Institute 2007 Conference on May 21, 2007 in Santa Clara, California Santa Clara, California (IPA: /ˌsæntəˈklærə/) , founded in 1777 and incorporated in 1852, is a city in Santa Clara County, in the U.S. state of California. . Dr. Schluep's presentation, entitled "Insert Therapeutics Product Development Update," will highlight Insert's technical and clinical progress in using its proprietary polymeric transport system, Cyclosert(TM), to design, develop and commercialize nanoparticle-enhanced small-molecule therapeutics. Insert's lead drug candidate, a combination of its linear, cyclodextrin-based polymer and the anti-cancer compound camptothecin, entered the clinic in 2006.

Dr. Schluep is responsible for Insert's drug discovery and development programs. Prior to joining Insert in 2004, Dr. Schluep was in charge of the non-viral gene therapy program at Canji, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary Wholly Owned Subsidiary
