ArrowSpan Introduces Multi-Radio Switching Wireless 900MHz Mesh Network Access Point for Hot Zones With Heavy Foliage.

SANTA CLARA Santa Clara, city, Cuba
Santa Clara (sän`tä klä`rä), city (1994 est. pop. 217,000), capital of Villa Clara prov., central Cuba.
, Calif. -- ArrowSpan Inc., a global provider of switching wireless mesh See wireless mesh network.  solutions, is introducing the MeshAP 3800-A9 900MHz (MegaHertZ) One million cycles per second. It is used to measure the transmission speed of electronic devices, including channels, buses and the computer's internal clock. A one-megahertz clock (1 MHz) means some number of bits (16, 32, 64, etc. , the latest addition to its wireless mesh portfolio with unlimited hop counts and no performance degradation. The MeshAP 3800-A9 900MHz edition is designed to provide switching wireless Wi-Fi access for outdoor communities, such as camp sites, RV parks, city parks and campuses, where heavy foliage may interfere with wireless coverage.

ArrowSpan's MeshAP 3800-A9 is a triple RFs switching wireless mesh access point that uses dual 900MHz radios for backhaul connection, a dedicated 802.11b/g radio for client connection, and a specialized radio that surveys the environment constantly to maintain the optimum path for each node. A very compact all-metal enclosure (23.4cm x 17cm x 6.3cm) with 1 foot long 900MHz 5 dBi antenna utilizing the 900 MHz band with average EIRP EIRP Effective Isotropic Radiated Power

power of above 1W, which supports node-to-node distance of up to 1km in open space, makes it an ideal wireless solution for outdoor heavy foliage communities.

"With this breakthrough switching wireless design, ArrowSpan can penetrate surrounding foliage and extend the distance coverage with 3Mbps to 6Mbps throughput and unlimited hop counts because of no performance degradation," said Max Lu, president and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of ArrowSpan. "Our MeshAP 3800-A9 900MHz edition gives service providers the ability to rapidly deploy dependable wireless networks in parks, campgrounds and campuses."

The MeshAP 3800-A9 900MHz edition supports high-bandwidth, low-latency broadband applications, and uses layer 2 switching wireless mesh routing to ensure excellent network performance. ArrowSpan's multiple radios, full-duplex design for backhaul traffic eliminates adjacent signal interference and prevents network performance degradation. Because the MeshAP 3800-A9 900MHz edition is designed for outdoor deployments, it is surrounded by a weatherproof enclosure that can withstand wind, rain, and extreme temperatures of -40xF to 131xF (-40xC to 55xC). The MeshAP 3800-A9 900MHz edition also supports WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy) An IEEE standard security protocol for wireless 802.11 networks. Introduced in 1997, WEP was found to be very inadequate and was superseded by WPA, WPA2 and 802.11i. , WPA WPA: see Work Projects Administration.

and WPA2 to provide maximum security for the backhaul connection and to protect the entire mesh network A communications network in which there are at least two pathways to each node. If one of the paths fails, the other is still available.

A "fully meshed" network means that every node has a direct connection to every other node, which is a very elaborate and expensive architecture.
