Arrow Electronics, Inc. (NYSE: ARW) today announced a distribution agreement with SMSC that covers Asia (except Japan) and North and Central America.

A global supplier of semiconductors that distribute video, audio, photos and data in the home, automobile, office and factory, SMSC develops semicustom and application-specific products that allow users to access or transfer their digital content.

Among the SMSC products covered in the agreement are USB ports in LCD monitors and set-top boxes, flash media card readers in printers, and Ethernet ports used in gaming systems and digital televisions.
