Arrow Electronics Rolls Out New HP Financial Services Leasing Program.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- The SBM Division of distributor Arrow Electronics Inc. (NYSE:ARW), one of the largest value-added distributors of HP enterprise products and integrated services, launched a new channel program through HP Financial Services (HPFS) that will support and provide incentives to Arrow's HP solution providers for selling HPFS' financial offerings.

The announcement was made during Alliance Summit, the SBM Division's annual top HP partner event, which runs today through September 17 at The Broadmoor luxury resort in Colorado Springs, Colo.

"We have actively worked with HPFS over several months to put together a program that significantly enhances HPFS' current channel program," said Michael Haley, vice president of Arrow's SBM Division. "Our role is to assist our partners in driving higher leasing volumes through HPFS by supporting them with a consistent and uniform process, a dedicated Arrow leasing product champion, and reseller education."

By accessing HP Financial Services' leasing offerings through Arrow's SBM Division, HP solution providers will receive the following benefits:

--Education - Arrow's primary role is to educate resellers about HPFS offerings, whereas in the past, partners were unclear about the various programs and services that could be offered to their customers.

--Consistency - The new program will be consistent by providing a uniform fee structure for all solution providers who resell HPFS lease offerings. In conjunction with HPFS, Arrow will also deliver consistent quoting processes including contract generation and settlement.

--A Dedicated Contact - Arrow has created a role for a dedicated Leasing Product Champion specifically to assist solution providers in structuring leasing proposals and being the point of escalation for HPFS issues.

--Portfolio Management - Ensuring partners have opportunities for future product and services sales through the management of the lease installment base.

With support from Arrow, HPFS will provide a financial solution for the customer's entire IT solution including hardware, software and various services. Hardware financial solutions include fair market leases, installment plans and dollar buyout leases.
