The new program is designed to help Sun iForce partners take advantage of today's federal government IT opportunities as well as plan for the near-$60 billion in future computing, software and IT services allocations outlined in the federal government's 2005 fiscal budget.

"Government resellers have long been a substantive segment of Arrow's Sun partner base, and in recent years these partners have had a lot of growth," said Rich Severa, president, MOCA Division. "Our Government Growth Initiative provides a multitude of new programs that will help our iForce partners penetrate federal agencies faster and deeper than their competitors."

As part of the program, Arrow has negotiated a unique relationship with INPUT, a market intelligence firm based in the DC area that helps companies successfully compete in the government arena.

Arrow's relationship with INPUT will provide iForce partners a significant advantage over competitors in the federal space, such as exclusive subscriber benefits to INPUT's services and additional analyses of INPUT's data. This information is presented in four easy-to-use reports:

-- Custom Business Trend Report: a detailed sales report with

individual iForce partners' own government sales activities

over the past year

-- State and Local Analyses: a state-by-state opportunity tracker

with a tailored go-to-market plan for individual iForce

partners

-- Federal Budget Analysis: an analysis of the government

agencies that have IT money to spend and how they plan to

spend it

-- Federal Mandate Analysis: an outline of federal mandates that

are creating IT opportunities for resellers in the private

sector

Operationally, Arrow supports iForce partners who need help with GSA (1) (Global mobile Suppliers Association, Sawbridgeworth, U.K., www.gsacom.com) A membership organization of suppliers of GSM products and services. Its goal is to promote GSM as the worldwide mobile communications standard. See GSM Association and GSM.  contract development as well as non-GSA resellers that want to contract GSA business through the MOCA Division's broker program. Extended-hours inside sales and technical support and resalable customer services also give iForce partners an advantage in identifying, penetrating and winning federal IT business.

The MOCA Division also offers demand-generation services such as database cleansing, grant-finding services, pass through of qualified leads, and the identification of government agencies that need new or renewed Sun services contracts.

"We are excited about our partnership with the MOCA Division of Arrow," said Kevin Plexico, executive vice president, INPUT. "I believe that by leveraging the MOCA Division's demand generation expertise with INPUT's comprehensive government market intelligence, MOCA and their partners will benefit greatly and see their sales increase in the government marketplace."
