Arrow Electronics Holds Annual PowerTrack Training and Certification Event for HP Partners.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- The SBM Division of Arrow Electronics, Inc. (NYSE: ARW), one of the largest value-added distributors of HP enterprise products and integrated services, kicks off its second annual PowerTrack event this week, being held May 2-6 at the Wyndham Greenspoint Hotel in Houston, Texas.

PowerTrack is an intensive five-day training event developed by Arrow that provides HP enterprise resellers with HP-authorized accelerated training paths and on-site computer-based certification testing. This enables them to earn the sales, pre-sales and technical certifications they need to effectively sell HP's server and storage offerings.

Because PowerTrack gives attendees the opportunity to obtain multiple certifications in one location over a concentrated period of time, it eliminates the need for HP partners to travel across the country for single-certification training sessions throughout the year, saving time and money.

This year's PowerTrack offers attendees more than 25 different courses covering a wide variety of topics. Highlights include:

--The ability for attendees to attain even higher certification levels than last year's PowerTrack. In addition to the Accredited Sales Professional (ASP), Accredited Sales Consultant (ASC), Accredited Pre-Sales Professional (APP), and Accredited Pre-Sales Consultant (APC) certifications, PowerTrack is now offering integration certifications such as AIS (Accredited Integrated Specialist), ASE (System Engineer) and MASE (Master Accredited System Engineer). These are all part of the HP Certified Professional program

--Half-day workshops to help HP partners drive revenues, including "HP PartnerONE Programs and Benefits" and "How to Profit with HP Mission Critical Services"

--Meetings and feedback sessions with the developers and the program manager of Sales Builder for Windows (SBW), HP's premier quoting and configuration tool

--A new software training course on HP OpenView
