Arrow Electronics Gives Resellers Competitive Advantage by Providing Use of Hitachi Data Systems' New AMS200 in Labs.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- Enterprise Storage Solutions and MOCA, divisions of the North American Computer Products group of Arrow Electronics, Inc. (NYSE: ARW), today announced that the TagmaStore Adaptable Modular Storage System model AMS200 is now available to Arrow resellers and system integrators in the Arrow Enterprise Solutions Labs for testing and demonstrations. This channel-optimized midrange storage system was recently introduced by Hitachi Data Systems (HDS), provider of Application Optimized Storage(TM) solutions, and a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd. (NYSE: HIT).

HDS recently introduced storage products with advanced capabilities and high-end functionality for the midrange and SMB markets. As part of Hitachi's product introductions, the company unveiled the TagmaStore Adaptable Modular Storage System (models AMS500 and AMS200).

Arrow is now demonstrating a fully configured AMS200 that is populated with 15 fibre channel drives, 15 SATA drives and will support up to 4Gb/s Fibre Channel port connectivity in the Arrow Enterprise Solutions Labs. The unit also has a full compliment of software resources, including Hitachi Resource Manager, Performance Monitor, ShadowImage and Copy-on-Write Snapshot.
