Arrow Electronics Expands Hitachi Data Systems' Product Education Series into Multi-City Tour.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- Arrow Enterprise Storage Solutions and the MOCA Division of Arrow Electronics, Inc. (NYSE: ARW), will sponsor a multi-city tour of the Arrow Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) University for HDS reseller partners.

The HDS University, hosted by Arrow, is an intensive four-hour seminar on key Hitachi Data Systems products. Engineering and sales representatives who attend will learn how to use and sell the latest HDS products on the market.

"The extensive HDS capabilities of the Arrow Enterprise Solutions Labs puts us in a unique position to deliver this kind of training to HDS reseller partners," said Lance Sedlak, director of marketing, Enterprise Storage, Arrow Electronics. "We're filling a real need for in-depth product education and skills development in regional locations for HDS reseller partners."

The seminar offers hands-on training with four live, simultaneous software demonstrations for technical representatives. Each seminar also will provide support to sales representatives in completing their Hitachi Trusted Sales Advisor certification while onsite.

In addition, training on the Universal Storage Platform, Enterprise Content Archiving and other HDS solutions will be offered.

The series kicked off with the first seminar in Denver in February with more than 20 attendees representing eight HDS reseller partners. Overwhelming response from Arrow's HDS VARs and HDS personnel has accelerated the launch schedule.

The software suites to be demonstrated in Arrow's Enterprise Solution Lab include HiCommand Device Manager, HDLM, Copy-On-Write Snapshot and Resource Manager, which run on a Hitachi Thunder 9585V, Thunder 9570V and a Thunder 9520V.

The second delivery of the seminar series will be held in Eden Prairie, Minn., on April 15 at Arrow Electronics. Other cities where the HDS University will be held include Atlanta, Boston and Chicago.
