), a leading Sun Microsystems Sun Microsystems, Inc. (NASDAQ: JAVA[3]) is an American vendor of computers, computer components, computer software, and information-technology services, founded on 24 February 1982.  channel development provider, announced today the launch of two marketing programs to help iForce partners grow revenues in new and renewal business on Sun maintenance agreements, professional services, and education contracts.

The two programs, "Renewal Blitz" and "Warranty Conversion," are part of a comprehensive strategy to assist in resellers' business development efforts regarding services. All Arrow iForce partners will have the opportunity to participate in these programs at no charge.

With the Renewal Blitz program, the MOCA Division identifies renewal opportunities and sends contract data to end-users on behalf of iForce partners, allowing partners to be proactive in capturing renewal demand with minimal effort. The Renewal Blitz program runs quarterly, so as to penetrate all contracts expiring during that time period. Over 60 of Arrow's iForce partners are enrolled in the program currently.

The Warranty Conversion program helps Arrow's iForce partners mine their installed base for first service opportunities on products due to expire off warranty. The MOCA Division contacts end-users on behalf of iForce partners to indicate upcoming warranty expiration information and gathers information regarding their service requirements that resellers can use to quote new service contracts.

"We are committed to helping our resellers grow their Sun business, and services offer resellers the opportunity to increase their overall profitability," said Bill Page, executive vice president, MOCA Division.

"Because Sun is committed to helping its iForce partners be successful, it greatly appreciates the value that the MOCA Division's new programs will add for them," said Larry Baker, senior director for global partner strategy, Alliances and Programs, Sun Microsystems. "Working together, Sun, Arrow and the iForce community have tremendous upside opportunities, and programs like these will help realize them."
