Arrests curb crime spree.


FOUR men have been arrested following an alarming spate of burglaries in a normally quiet area of Huddersfield.

There were 15 break-ins in June alone in Kirkburton and Highburton, following five in May.

But Insp Nick Harvey Nicholas Barton "Nick" Harvey (born August 3, 1961) is a British politician. He is the Liberal Democrat Member of Parliament for North Devon.

Nick Harvey was born in Chandler's Ford, Hampshire and was educated at the Queen's College in Taunton and the Middlesex Poytechnic
, from Kirkburton and Denby Dale Neighbourhood Policing Team, said there had been a big fall since the arrests at the end of last month.

"We have only had one burglary burglary, at common law, the breaking and entering of a dwelling house of another at night with the intent to commit a felony, whether the intent is carried out or not.  since the arrests," he said.

"The four men, all from the Huddersfield area, are on bail pending the results of forensic Belonging to courts of justice.

Insp Harvey said the crime spree was probably due to windows being left open during warm weather. People should shut windows at night, set security alarms and report any suspicious behaviour to the pol ic e.
