Arrest led to violence.


A MAN flew into a rage when police stopped him during a row with his ex-girlfriend.

David McCormack David McCormack is a singer-songwriter from Brisbane, Queensland Australia, who is widely known for fronting the popular Australian rock-band Custard. He was born during the long hot summer of 1968 in the leafy Brisbane suburb of Kenmore. , 30, became violent when officers stopped him and asked for his details.

Miss Turner, prosecuting, said: "He was told to calm down. He then squared up to her and gritted his teeth. One of the officers took hold of Mr McCormack and he ended up face-to-face with PC Collins."

The court heard how McCormack struggled. PC Collins fell and McCormack kicked him. McCormack, of Duke Walk, in Teams, pleaded guilty to resisting arrest resisting arrest n. the crime of using physical force (no matter how slight in the eyes of most law enforcement officers) to prevent arrest, handcuffing and/or taking the accused to jail.  and assaulting PC Collins. He was given a 12-month community order with supervision and ordered to pay pounds 50 compensation.
