Arrest after street robbery.

A MAN was arrested yesterday on suspicion of robbery following an incident in the Johnstown area of Wrexham during the early hours of Thursday morning.

The 21-year-old man who is local to the Wrexham area is in police custody awaiting questioning following an incident which is believed to have happened at around 1am.

The victim was walking in Johnstown and was attacked on Park Street.

His bike and mobile phone were taken from him and he sustained what are believed to be minor injuries.

Police are appealing for witnesses and information regarding the incident and are particularly keen to speak to anyone who was in the area of Park Street on Thursday morning.

Officers are especially keen to trace a woman in connection with the incident.

She is described as white, around 5ft 5' tall, with shoulder length blonde hair..
