Arrest after gun death; Victim ran holiday sex business.

A SUSPECT was being held today following the alleged murder of a businessman who organised holiday sex tours.

A Northumbria Police spokeswoman said: "As a result of investigations by West Yorkshire Police, officers from Northumbria Police yesterday arrested a 39-year-old man in the South Shields area in connection with the murder of Christopher Hartley in Clayton West on September 8. "The arrested man will be questioned by detectives."

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "He was arrested on suspicion of murder.

"The man is currently at a police station in the Northumbria area and was due to be brought back to West Yorkshire for questioning today."

The murder victim's sex holiday business, which was run from his house, was being examined by detectives as part of the investigation. For pounds 1,695, clients were promised return flights to Manilla, airport transfers, 10 nights' bed and breakfast in a four-star hotel and a 24-hour tour guide-cum-escort.

The Eastern Delights website features explicit pictures of the Filipino girls who would supposedly be waiting for customers.

The West Yorkshire Police spokesman added: "Any information like this will form part of our investigation."

Eastern Delights is one of a number of businesses registered to Mr Hartley's house, off Batley Road in Tingley. He is also believed to have run a car business from his house.
