Arrest Warrants - How to Find Criminals in Your Area

You might be surprised to learn that there is a loophole in the law that allows criminals to get away with their crimes and evade capture for years. Many never get caught at all. Find out what this loophole is and how you can protect yourself against it.

How many criminals are living close to you?

Recently I happened to be talking to someone about how important it was to know if you have an arrest warrant. What I was told opened my eyes and turned my thinking on it''s head.

Perhaps you think that there aren''t any criminals around you or if there are then they''ve done their time and you''ve nothing to fear from them. In any case there can''t be that many of them can there? Well something that I was told recently made me think that this might not be true and that I should be taking it more seriously.

If you get an arrest warrant then simply move to another state to avoid it

This is what I was told by someone that I met casually recently. We got to talking about arrest warrants, saying how easy it was to get one and then get arrested and how much upset and stress it can cause. And con''t forget the punishment if you''re found guilty.

It''s too expensive to chase you across states

I was trying to keep the conversation light hearted at this point because I started to get a very uneasy feeling but I wanted more information. Apparently the police often don''t actively enforce warrants for arrest across states because it''s too expensive for them. I guess that they think that if a criminal has moved away from their area then they are someone else''s problem.

Then the person confessed to me that both he and his wife had warrants in a different state from years back and the''ve never been caught. Now I was worried! The thought that it was possible for criminals to avoid capture like this was one thing but someone openly discussing it with me was something else entirely.

Anyone in your area could have an arrest warrant

You probably thought that most criminals get caught sooner or later which meant that the chances of you coming in contact with them was low. This is what I thought too but the conversation with this stranger has opened my eyes. There could be a lot more people with criminal records or arrest warrants living in your area than you thought.

Protect yourself by knowing who have records

So what can you do about it? You can do what I did right after my conversation with the stranger. Sign up at a public records site where you can check out the arrest warrants, criminal records and other background checks on anyone you want. It''s not expensive compared with the peace of mind that you''ll get from knowing where the criminals are. Start by checking out the people that you have most contact with and especially anyone that you are considering hiring to work for you. Then you can check out all the people that live in your area.

If you are brave then you can tip off the police about the whereabouts of these criminals trying to evade warrants. The least you should do is stay away from them and don''t invite them into your home.
