Array Networks and RSA Security Team Up For Secure Web-Traffic Management.

Business Editors/High Tech Writers

CAMPBELL, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 29, 2002

Array Networks, the pioneer in secure Web-traffic management, and RSA Security Inc. (NASDAQ:RSAS), the most trusted name in e-security(R), announced a strategic partnership whereby Array Networks will incorporate components of RSA BSAFE(R) SSL-C and RSA BSAFE Cert-C encryption software into the Array SP (Security Proxy) product line. The Array SP delivers secure, SSL-accelerated, anytime-anywhere Web access, enabling businesses to defend and police Web services and applications with trusted encryption, authentication, authorization, and accounting.

"We are very impressed with Array Networks' new Array SP and the company's ground-breaking approach to secure Web traffic management," said Victor Chang, vice president of the developer solutions/encryption division at RSA Security. "Array Networks' integrated platform architecture and advanced technology roadmap provide an exceptional opportunity for RSA Security technology to provide key security capabilities in next-generation networking products."

RSA BSAFE(R) SSL-C software is engineered to provide developers with a high-quality, supported product that includes everything needed for delivering SSL-enabled applications quickly and securely. RSA BSAFE Cert-C software is a certificate handling software development kit for creating applications that integrate into a public key infrastructure (PKI). Based on open standards and thoroughly tested for multi-vendor interoperability, RSA BSAFE Cert-C software is designed to provide in one package all the certificate processing and cryptographic software that developers need for building certificate-enabled applications.

"RSA Security's proven encryption, certificate management, and PKI software will provide a strong, standards-based reference foundation for the Array SP product line," said Donald. J. Massaro, president and CEO of Array Networks. "Seamless interoperability and compatibility with RSA Security's SSL implementations give users peace of mind and reduce the need for specialized technical support personnel. Our partnership with RSA Security provides our customers with full confidence that their Web applications and services are protected, and will enable us to get to market faster with next-generation products."

The Array SP secure Web traffic management platform enables employees, partners, and customers to securely access Web applications and services regardless of their location, providing a convenient, centralized point of encryption, authentication, authorization, and accounting. The SSL-accelerated Array SP provides the ideal combination of security and performance, tackling the problem of enabling applications and content for secure access across the Internet and over corporate networks without the need to change anything on the servers themselves.
