Array Networks, the pioneer in integrated traffic management and SSL VPN solutions for global enterprises, introduced today Array TM-X, a significant addition to its integrated traffic management line of products. The Array TM-X platform provides enterprises with highly scalable application acceleration at best-of-breed price/performance. This new platform, along with new feature enhancements to its ArrayOS software, offers IT managers unparalleled flexibility in managing their application networks.

In addition to the new product addition, Array also enhanced its software suite, especially in the areas of link load balancing, monitoring and reporting, network address translation, port forwarding and disaster recovery. Some of the enhancements include:

-- Link Load Balancing: A major enhancement to link load

balancing is the ability to perform policy based routing,

which gives administrators significant flexibility in

selecting route choices, since these can be based not only on

the destination IP address, but also on entire flow

parameters, such as source IP address, source port,

destination IP address and destination port. Array TM is also

able to adjust the flow of traffic across multiple ISP links

based on responsiveness, by using the new shortest response

time algorithm. This, along with new link health checks and

the existing feature set, allows enterprises to use multiple

smaller links and aggregate them for higher capacity and

better availability at a lower cost of operations.

-- Monitoring and Reporting: Array TM's management tool set has

been significantly enhanced to provide hundreds of

pre-configured and custom reports that touch upon all aspects

of traffic management and application acceleration. This

provides IT managers and network administrators with an

instant snapshot and trend analysis of their network and

application traffic, giving them a solid tool for day-to-day

operations, capacity planning and intelligent decision-making.

-- Network Address Translation and Port forwarding: Enhancements

in the area of Network Address Translation provide additional

support. Specifically, new static NAT capability allows

traffic to be forwarded both inbound and outbound without any

port changes. Enhancements to port forwarding allow inbound

traffic to be sent without making changes to the IP address,

ensuring that client information is directly provided to the

specific applications that require it.

-- Disaster Recovery / Global Server Load Balancing: Multi-site

disaster recovery enhancements to Global Server Load Balancing

allows the entire site, including back-end applications, to be

completely synchronized before initiating fail-back routines.

-- Port/Link Redundancy / High Availability: A significant

addition to overall reliability is the ability to back-up a

link or port in the same unit without interrupting network

connectivity. This high availability configuration makes

mission critical applications, such as those used by banking

institutions and telecom carriers, more reliable.

-- Multi-Layer Security: Enhancements to the multi-layer security

solutions include flexible application firewall rules and

dynamic rules support, to make Array's solutions easier to use

and enable integration with a variety of application

environments with minimal configuration.
