"Hidden Wonder of Maritime Red Hook".

May 3--The Municipal Art Society of New York will host a program entitled "Hidden Wonder of Maritime Red Hook." The event will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Urban Center. In the context of plans for an Ikea store that would fill in a functional graving dock to make way for a parking lot, an expert panel will consider the historic and cultural significance of the former Todd Shipyard in Red Hook, Brooklyn Red Hook is a neighborhood in the New York City borough of Brooklyn. May 4--Leonard Stem, prominent New York City businessman, owner of Soho and Tribeca Grand Hotels and real estate developer, will be honored for founding "Homes For The Homeless Homes for the Homeless is an organization which provides housing and employment trainining for homeless people in New York City. It was founded in 1986 through a collaboration with Leonard N. Stern, the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, and the city of New York. " 20 years ago and for supporting it all these years.
