IREM Courses

Sept. 18 - The Greater New York Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management is conducting two courses that will begin this month. Introduction to Real Estate Management provides an overview of the management of residential, commercial and retail properties. It will be held on Thursday evenings from 6 to 9 p.m. beginning Sept. 19 through Dec. 5. The class will be held at NYU's Midtown Center, 11 West 42nd St. The course, registration and textbook fee is $625. NYARM Lunch & Learning Session

Sept. 25 -- The New York Association of Realty Managers will hold its monthly membership meeting, starting with a pre-lunch LEARNING SESSION from 11 a.m. to noon on PART TWO of the Emergency Preparedness Series. NYC OEM, Office of Emergency Management, will lead a panel headed by NYPD Sargent and OEM senior planner, Peter R. Picarillo, comprised of city officials and industry professionals with an emphasis on evacuations including updates on the latest advisories. Followed by open bar networking session noon to 1 p.m. where attendees will have an opportunity to meet the vendors and contractors who provide consulting and backup services related to emergency and evacuation planning.
