Aromatic potato wedges among launches from Agrarfrost at InterCool and SIAL fairs.


Agrarfrost of Aldrup, Germany (Fax: 49-4434-1264), chose the recently held InterCool 2004 trade fair in Dusseldorf to introduce innovative potato snacks for the modern convenience kitchen.

The new Pizza-Puffers combine crisp German potato fritters with classical Italian pizza toppings, and come ready for warming in the oven. The products are being offered in two variations: "Salami" and "Vegetarian," complete with seasoned tomato sauce, delicate vegetables and piquant cheese. They are to be introduced to the market at the beginning of 2005 in a 270-gram folded box containing two pieces.

Also new are Krauter Spalten: crisp, highly aromatic potato wedges that come in one package with "Meggle" herbal creme. The creme melts optimally in the frying pan, spreading its herbal aroma evenly to the potato wedges. The product can be used as a side dish side dish

Agrarfrost also used the InterCool fair to report that its Hash Brown Hash browns or hashed browns are a simple potato preparation in which potato pieces are pan-fried after being diced, riced, shredded, or julienned. They have been on the market since February 2004, representing a trend to products that are bought for consumption at events.
