Arnold Communications Tapped for Talbots Brand Building Project.


BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 6, 1996-- Talbots Talbots (NYSE: TLB) is a Massachusetts clothing retailer established in 1947. The store specializes in women's clothing, shoes, and accessories.

Talbots offers misses, petite and plus-size (woman and woman petite) sizes.
, a retailer of women's and children's classic apparel, has teamed with Arnold Communications on a brand positioning project.

Hired on a consulting basis, the agency will implement its Brand Essence process to help Talbots expand its position as a growing international retailer.

Talbots pursued the assignment with Arnold Communications because of the agency's strength and experience in brand building. "This is an important time for Talbots. We have been brought in to help them position themselves to build their brand for the future," comments Ed Eskandarian, Arnold Communications chairman and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. This year, Talbots' total company sales are expected to reach $1 billion. The retailer has grown to more than 500 stores and has expanded into international markets.
