Arnold Capstick Joins Internet Commerce Corporation to Head Product Marketing.

Arnold B. Capstick, formerly GE Information Services Director of Product Marketing, has joined Internet Commerce Corporation (ICC ICC

) as a senior vice president of product marketing.

During his 29-year career with GE Information Services, Mr. Capstick spent 11 years managing the company's EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) The electronic communication of business transactions, such as orders, confirmations and invoices, between organizations. Mr. Capstick will be based in Washington, D.C. and be responsible for overseeing all product marketing activities for ICC's CommerceSense(TM), the Company's Internet-based solution for business-to-business electronic commerce (EC)/EDI. CommerceSense, which focuses on facilitating the procurement process (invoices, purchase orders, etc.) of its customers, allows companies to conduct EDI transactions with their suppliers easily, securely and with less expense. Mr. Capstick will also be involved in sales, marketing and promotional activities for CommerceSense.

Mr. Capstick joined the EDI Services unit of GE Information Services in 1989 as manager of EDI services, ultimately becoming global product manager, EDI marketing. Under his leadership, EDI*EXPRESS grew to include 40,000 trading partners in more than 750 cities worldwide. He initiated service in Europe and the Asia Pacific region and launched new TCP/IP and EDI-to-fax services.

He began his GE career in the Honeywell Computer Department in 1967 and moved to GE Information Services in 1975. Prior to heading the EDI division, he was involved with several different aspects of computer hardware and software, systems support and management.
