Army news service (June 30, 2006): Army establishes new Corps for civilians.

America's Army (also known as AA or Army Game Project) is a tactical multiplayer first-person shooter owned by the United States Government and released as a global public relations initiative
 civilians celebrate the establishment of the new Army Civilian Corps.

The new name unifies civilians serving the Army, and "embodies the commitment of these dedicated individuals who serve as an integral part of our Army team," according to according to
