Army distributes artificial limbs in Kashmir.

 in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district Poonch District is a district of Kashmir that is divided between India and Pakistan. The Pakistani part of Poonch District is part of its Azad Kashmir territory, whilst Indian Poonch is part of Jammu and Kashmir state. .

"We have arranged for a special team from Jaipur comprising of 12 technicians and we are successfully conducting the camp. We are taking patients measurement and by tomorrow we will provide them with the artificial limbs," said Jagbir Singh, president of the NGO 'Pritam Spiritual Trust'.

Mohammad Afzal, whose one leg was injured and had to be amputated during a cross border firing incident, as got himself an artificial limb.

"Today there are more than 100 people who have come out here to get artificial limb and the foundation also helps us in many ways. We are very thankful to them," he said.

Another Project on Wheel was also flagged off wherein needy people were given wheel chairs.

"I came to know about this camp, they gave me this cycle, and now I am very happy and hope I can lead a better life," said Mohammad Sadiq, a beneficiary. (ANI)
