Army Taps Westar for Continued Support of Tech Pubs.


HUNTSVILLE, Ala. -- The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command (AMCOM) awarded Westar Aerospace & Defense Group, Inc., the Systems Engineering Group of QinetiQ North America, a task order to provide continued technical publication services in support of the Publication Services Division of AMCOM's Integrated Materials Management Center (IMMC). The five-year task order is valued at more than $35 million.

The Publications Services Division supports the logistics teams for all aviation and missile systems managed by AMCOM. Westar has provided technical publication services to the Division since 1997, such as automated publications technology support to Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) and operator/flight manuals.

Westar, which supported the development of the Army's first MIL-STD-40051-1 compliant IETM, also researches future automated publications technologies for use by AMCOM.
