Army Solution to the Energy Crisis.

The U.S. Army Soldier and Biological Chemical Command, in Natick, Mass., has developed technology called liquid-injected cogeneration that could be the answer to the growing energy shortages in both the civilian and military communities.

Cogeneration is the combined production of electric power and heat. Liquid-injected cogeneration is a process where water is pumped to high pressure, heated with a conventional oil or gas burner A drive that writes write-once optical discs such as CD-Rs and DVD-Rs. A "burner" implies a one-time recording, but the term is erroneously used to refer to drives that "write" to re-recordable CD-RW and DVD-RW/+RW media as well. See burn, CD-R and DVD-R.  and then injected into a scroll expander that turns a generator to provide electric power. The steam from the expanding water is condensed con·dense

Experts at Natick assert that this technology will ease the energy crisis much of the country faces, making electricity more inexpensive and available, while also protecting the environment from pollutants pollutants
