Army National Guard Chooses 3eTI for Secure Wireless Networking.


ROCKVILLE, Md. -- International (3eTI), the leading wireless LAN infrastructure and application company for the US Government market, has been chosen to support the Tactical Logistics Data Digitization (TLDD TLDD Tactical Logistics Data Digitization ) Project in a pilot wireless networking program for the Army National Guard. The commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) project is valued at $2.1 million and will take place at five US Army bases: Fort Indiantown Gap Fort Indiantown Gap, also referred to as "the Gap" or "fig", is located along Interstate 81 in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania, 23 miles (37 km) northeast of Harrisburg.  - PA, Fort Hood -TX, Fort Polk - LA, Fort Irwin - CA, and Camp Shelby - MS.

The TLDD wireless LAN will consist of FIPS (Federal Information Processing Standards) A series of publications issed by the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) that specifies information security guidelines for federal government departments and agencies.  140-2 Validated(TM) wireless access points, laptops with network interface cards, and encryption software which have been certified for DoD use. The solution uses 3eTI ruggedized access points built to mil specs and operation in harsh environments. The APs provide extended coverage (2,000+ feet range) and employ 128/192/256 bit AES encryption for robust wireless security.

The mission of the Tactical TLDD Project is to provide Army equipment operators with rapid digital access to technical data on the Battlefield, at the motor pool, and at the schoolhouse. By ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the data required in the parts ordering process, TLDD will facilitate a significant reduction in operator ordering errors.
