Army Guard Unveils New Big-Screen Ad CampaignThe Army National Guard has enlisted two superstars to attract new members through a new nationwide theater advertising campaign that debuted late last month. The new campaign features a video that includes music from Kid Rock and features Dale Eamhardt Jr., the Guardsponsored NASCAR NASCAR (National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing), organization that sanctions American stock-car races, est. 1948. It held its first race in Daytona Beach, Fla. Sprint Cup driver. Over the next two months, Warrior will appear in more than 3,000 theaters around the country. The video and preshow slides will air before every movie except those rated "G" and "PG." Lt. Gen. Clyde Vaughn, Army Guard director, said during an Aug. 20 screening that the campaign will have impact. "There is no doubt in my mind that we're going to attract a lot of folks that are interested in serving," he said. Kid Rock wrote the song, Warrior, specifically for the Army Guard. "He is as real as it comes," said Col. Mike Jones of the Army Guard's strength maintenance office. "And he was unapologetic about supporting the Army National Guard recruiting program."
