) has awarded a $52,400 grant to Armstrong County Armstrong County is the name of several counties in the United States:

 to help fund its municipal recycling operation.

The grant was awarded under Pennsylvania's County Planning Grant Program, which is Section 901 of the Municipal Waste Planning, Recycling and Waste Reduction Act of 1988, commonly called Act 101. The $52,400 grant will be used to reimburse re·im·burse

1. To repay (money spent); refund.

2. To pay back or compensate (another party) for money spent or losses incurred.
 Armstrong County for up to 80 percent of the costs to revise its solid waste management plan.

Act 101 grants support the infrastructure of Pennsylvania's $23 billion recycling industry, which includes $2.9 billion in wages paid to 81,322 people employed by 3,247 recycling and reuse reuse - Using code developed for one application program in another application. Traditionally achieved using program libraries. Object-oriented programming offers reusability of code via its techniques of inheritance and genericity.  industries. The annual sales receipts of these establishments totaled $18.4 billion last year. The indirect benefits totaled $1.8 billion, and tax receipts were estimated at $305 million annually.
