Armed robber shot.


Shortly after midnight on July July: see month.  21, Roy Rhodes of Waycross, Georgia Waycross is a city in Ware County, Georgia, United States. The population was 15,333 at the 2000 census, and a micropolitan area of 51,611. The city is the largest city and county seat of Ware CountyGR6. , came home from work. As he was about to enter his residence, he heard someone approaching from behind. Turning, he saw the silhouettes of two men rushing at him, at least one of whom was armed.

Rhodes pulled his own handgun and exchanged shots with the would-be robbers. He hit one of the attackers, Carl White Jr., who died at the scene. The other man, Brian Pinkney, fled.

Police later arrested Pinkney at his home in Waycross and charged him with aggravated ag·gra·vate
