Armed forces to wipe out miscreants from South Waziristan: Tasneem.

ISLAMABAD, November 06, 2009 (Balochistan Times): Minister of State for Interior Tasneem Ahmed Qureshi has said the armed force would soon wipe out miscreants and anti-state elements from South Waziristan. In a statement he said the government is committed to rooting out the menace of terrorism from the country, says a press release. Waziristan operation, he said was started after due consideration and consultation with all political parties, adding the government firmly believes in policy of reconciliation. Tasneem Ahmed Qureshi said security has already been beefed up across the country and at key installations to ensure safety and security. He said the nation is proud of the armed forces and law enforcing agencies for their relentless efforts to defeat terrorism. The minister of state appreciated pragmatic role of media during the Swat operation in highlighting problems of displaced people. He said only vigilant media can counter propaganda of enemy countries.
