Armanino Foods of Distinction, Inc. Awarded Best Of Show by American Tasting Institute.


HAYWARD, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 27, 1997--Armanino Foods of Distinction, Inc. (NASDAQ/NMS:ARMF ARMF Advanced Reactivity Measurement Facility ) announced it was awarded "Best of Show" for its pesto sauces from the 1996 American Taste Awards by the American Tasting Institute.

The awards were given to the Armanino Dried Tomato & Garlic and Armanino Classic Italian Basil Sauce.

The products were judged by "blind" judges, a panel of professional chefs in San Francisco San Francisco (săn frănsĭs`kō), city (1990 pop. 723,959), coextensive with San Francisco co., W Calif., on the tip of a peninsula between the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay, which are connected by the strait known as the Golden , during the competition culminating on Nov. 27, 1996. Each product was judged primarily on taste. However, freshness and appearance of the products were considered. The American Tasting Institute was founded in 1993 as a private organization by Chef Jesse Sartin and his colleagues to promote taste, safety and nutritional standards.
