Armando Puccetti.


STERLING - Armando Puccetti, 77, of Boutelle Road, Sterling, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, in UMass Memorial Hospital, Worcester.

Mr. Puccetti, or "Deno" as everyone knew him, was born in West Boylston and moved to Sterling in 1967 where he has lived since.

He is survived by his wife, Gail D. (Bray) Puccetti; his son, Perry A. Puccetti and his wife, Jill, of Leawood, Kansas Leawood is a city in Johnson County, Kansas, United States and is part of the Kansas City Metropolitan Area. The population was 27,656 at the 2000 census. Geography

; his daughters, Gina D. Wing and her husband, Danny, of Monument Beach and Lori L. Puccetti and her partner, Kristen A. Mattson, of Sterling; along with six loving grandchildren GRANDCHILDREN, domestic relations. The children of one's children. He is also survived by his sister, Elisa Williams of Fairfield, Calf., and many nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Frank, Joseph and Louis Ceredona, and Fernando Puccetti.

Son of Italian immigrants, Armando Puccetti Sr. and Madalina (Guilito) Puccetti, he was known for his ever-present smile, having a twinkle in his eye, and love of working with his hands. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and was an operating engineer for the International Union of Operating Engineers The International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) is a labor union within the AFL-CIO representing primarily construction workers who work as heavy equipment operators, mechanics, surveyors, and stationary engineers, who maintain heating and other systems in buildings and  #4 for over 30 years. Previously, he worked for Baldarelli Brothers in West Boylston. He was a member of the Hiram O. Taylor American Legion American Legion, national association of male and female war veterans, founded (1919) in Paris. Membership is open to veterans of World Wars I and II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War.  Post 189 and the Eight Point Sportsmen's Club both in Sterling, and was an avid fisherman.
