) today announced that its new Armada An earlier brand name for laptop computers from Compaq. The line was noted for its quality and innovative features.  4100 family of notebook PCs recently won Byte Magazine and The Blenheim Group's prestigious "Best of PC Expo A trade show for resellers, corporate managers and technical professionals from CMP Media LLC, a subsidiary of United Business Media. First held in New York in 1983 with 120 exhibitors and 9,600 attendees, the show grew from the personal computer's early years to 550 vendors and more than " award. "Best of PC Expo" is a competition which includes every product exhibited at the trade show. In addition, Byte Magazine also awarded Compaq the extremely competitive "Best Portable" accolade for this year's entire PC Expo event.

Describing the notebook as a product that "satisfies the needs of a wide range of users," Byte announced the award at a ceremony held on Wednesday, June 19, at PC Expo, one of the computer industry's most prominent trade shows. More than 142,323 people attended this year's PC Expo, a four-day event sponsored by The Blenheim Group.

The recently announced Compaq Armada 4100 is a flexible family of notebook PCs designed to meet the size and weight requirements of customers who want the flexibility to customize their notebooks to meet their specific needs.
