Arkansas show to feature "state's best kept secrets"; small businesses and entrepreneurs vie for state honors and shot at national spotlight on QVC.

At the trade show, 20 products and five alternates will be selected for a live primetime broadcast on QVC, Jan. 14, 1995, from Pine Bluff. The three-hour broadcast will offer consumers in 50 million households nationwide the opportunity to purchase Arkansas' finest goods.

The 20 products will be selected from six categories: housewares house·wares

Cooking utensils, dishes, and other small articles used in a household, especially in the kitchen.
 and home products, jewelry, health/fitness and beauty, foods, apparel/accessories and automotive. Only those products distributed locally and regionally will be accepted. Entrants must be pre-registered to participate in the trade show.

The 50-state tour will feature events from each state that will be broadcast from the QVC "Local," a customized 45-foot motorcraft coach containing the world's most sophisticated mobile television studio. The QVC "Local," a bright yellow-orange luxuriously designed coach adorned with the world's largest road map, is a self-contained studio featuring a satellite transmission antenna, satellite receiver, 6-camera remote capability and four utility cameras.
