Arkansas rep kicks off $6 million fund-raiser.

The project includes new seats, air-conditioning, restrooms and lobbies.

To minimize the disruption caused by the work, the Rep will relocate the second half of its 2008-2009 season to the University Theatre at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Established as Little Rock Junior College by the Little Rock School District in 1927, it became a private four-year institution, called Little Rock University, in 1957. It returned to public status in 1969 when it was merged into the University of Arkansas System under its present name.  and to Wildwood Wildwood, city (1990 pop. 4,484), Cape May co., SE N.J., on an island off Cape May; settled 1882, inc. as a city 1911. It has large commercial fisheries and is a popular summer seaside resort with many vintage motels and other buildings from the 1940s–60s.  Park for the Arts. The season's first three plays will be held at the Main Street site. Then it will be closed down for nine months starting in January 2009.

Mary Steenburgen and Ted Danson are the honorary chairmen for the REPrise fund-raising effort. Executive leaders are Barbara Bova, Lee Brown and Brian Bush. Completing the campaign cabinet are Helen Buchanan, Chuck Cliett, Bob East, Catherine Hughes, Wilson Jones, Chip Murphy, Cindy Murphy, Bill Rector and Rett Tucker.
