Arkansas Offers Online Payment Option to Beat October 10 Personal Property Tax Deadline.


State Expects Online Payments to Top 2006'S $12 Million

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Paying personal property and real estate taxes is easier than ever, thanks to an online service available to residents of 20 Arkansas counties. Working in conjunction with county tax collectors, the official state Web site (http://www.Arkansas.gov) offers citizens the ability to pay personal property and real estate tax payments online.

Counties offering online Web payments with a credit card (MasterCard, Visa and Discover) or electronic check are Cleburne, Columbia, Craighead, Crittenden, Dallas, Faulkner, Jefferson, Pope, Pulaski, Randolph, Saline, Sebastian, Van Buren and Washington Counties Washington County is the name of 30 counties and one parish in the United States of America, all named for George Washington. It is the most common county name in the United States. . In addition to online payments, Craighead, Crittenden, Jefferson, Saline, Sebastian and Van Buren counties Van Buren County is the name of four counties in the United States, which are named for Martin Van Buren

  • Van Buren County, Michigan
  • Van Buren County, Tennessee
 now accept credit card payments in their county office. Many of these counties also offer a payment option through an automated phone system. The online payments will be accepted until midnight on October 10.

In 2006, more than $12 million dollars were processed through the online tax portal, and the state expects 2007 payments to top that number. To use the online payment services, taxpayers may enter the parcel number provided on their tax statements or can search the database for specific parcels. The property tax system guides the user through a series of entry screens and provides a confirmation and printable print·a·ble
