Arkansas Construction Hall of Fame.NOMINATION PROCESS The Arkansas Arkansas, river, United States Arkansas (ärkăn`zəs, är`kənsô'), river, c.1,450 mi (2,330 km) long, rising in the Rocky Mts., central Colo. Construction Hall of Fame Awards program is open to all persons who have worked in the construction industry (Architects, Municipal/Utility Contractors, Building Contractors building contractor n → contratista m/f de obras building contractor n → entrepreneur m (en bâtiment) building contractor , Highway Contractors, Specialty Contractors, Suppliers & Engineers) for a minimum of twenty-five years in the state of Arkansas. Initial nominations are open to the public and then turned over to a panel of construction professionals. A person may be nominated nom·i·nate tr.v. nom·i·nat·ed, nom·i·nat·ing, nom·i·nates 1. To propose by name as a candidate, especially for election. 2. To designate or appoint to an office, responsibility, or honor. at any time during the year. The deadline for a particular year is December 1st. If a nomination is received after that date, the nominee nominee n. 1) a person or entity who is requested or named to act for another, such as an agent or trustee. 2) a potential successor to another's rights under a contract. will go into the nominee pool for the next year. The selection committee meets twice each year to review the nominee forms on file with selection for each year being made in mid December. Basis for nomination is that a person must first have distinguished themselves in some extraordinary ways in the construction industry in the State of Arkansas. This person must also have the respect of their peer group and in addition be or have been a leader in professional and civic organizations. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: The completed nomination form A narrative explaining the significant impact the nominee has had on the construction industry in the state of Arkansas and their enduring value to the state. As the narrative is written, concentrate on addressing how the nominee has distinguished the selves in extraordinary ways in the construction industry in the State of Arkansas.
