U.S. corporation and film studio. It was formed when the film distributor Marcus Loew, who bought Metro Pictures in 1920, merged it with the Goldwyn production company in 1924 and with Louis B. Hailed as 'The Greatest City in Las Vegas,' this new resort is scheduled to open in December 1996. The three restaurants are America, a 450 seat, twenty-four hour a day eatery; Gallagher's, a 150 seat steak house, which will operate under a license agreement from the owner of the famed New York establishment of the same name, and a 180 seat Mexican Cantina. The Food Court, themed after New York's Greenwich Village, will comprise an array of fast food restaurants and kiosks offering a wide range of foods from New York deli sandwiches to Brooklyn-style pizza. As previously announced, Ark will also operate the hotel's room service and banquet facilities, in addition to the employee cafeteria.
