Ark Restaurants Corp. Board of Directors Approves Additional Share Repurchases.


NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 19, 1999--

Ark Restaurants Corp. today announced that its board of directors has approved the repurchase of up to an additional 300,000 shares of its common stock in the open market from time to time.

In July 1998, the board had approved the purchase of up to 500,000 shares and, pursuant to that authority, the company has purchased 490,500 shares of its common stock, including 109,300 shares acquired in the second fiscal quarter ended April 3, 1999 and 165,000 shares acquired since the end of the second fiscal quarter.

The timing of the purchases and the actual number of shares to be purchased will depend upon market conditions. Ark has approximately 3,352,000 shares of common stock outstanding.
