 wire service on January 14th. The meeting between Janet Napolitano Janet Napolitano (b. November 29, 1957) is the current governor of the U.S. state of Arizona, originally elected in 2002, and re-elected in 2006. She is Arizona's third female governor, and the first female to win re-election.  and five members of the Mexican Chamber of Deputies occurred just a few days before Napolitano was sworn in as Arizona governor.

Napolitano had promised Arizona's Hispanic community that she would allow illegal aliens to obtain state driver's licenses. "We're very pleased with the governor's position, and hope that our fellow countrymen can obtain driver's licenses in the very near future," stated Mexican Congressman Efren Leyva Acevedo.
