Eighty-nine enrollment workstations will be installed at DES district offices throughout the state, and 92 portable workstations will be available to serve homebound clients. Up to 30 transactions per workstation can be accomplished hourly. The central database resides on a physically and logically separate database in Austin, Texas. The Welfare Benefits Enrollment System is designed for the State of Arizona according to contractual specifications. INFORMATION ON DES RECIPIENTS All AFDC households and Food Stamp households in Arizona will be involved in the project. Finger imaging is a condition of eligibility. A household cannot receive AFDC or food stamp benefits unless all required household members (adults 18 years old and over) provide finger images. An intentional attempt to receive duplicate benefits can result in suspension of benefits.
