Arizona Technology Council Announces the First Women in Leadership Forum.


Arizona Arizona (âr'əzō`nə), state in the southwestern United States. It is bordered by Utah (N), New Mexico (E), Mexico (S), and, across the Colorado R., Nevada and California (W).  Technology Council:
WHAT:     The Arizona Technology Council is pleased to partner Lewis &
          Fowler and Microsoft Corp., for the first Women in
          Leadership Forum in Phoenix.

          At this engaging event, women leaders in IT will share their
          insights, experiences, successes, and achievements, leaving
          you laughing and sharing your stories with others.

          Shelly Barnes of Arizona Tile is the keynote speaker. The
          moderated panel features regional women in leadership roles,
          including Donna J. Kent, president and CEO of the Arizona
          Technology Council; Ann-Marie Lee, director of the Services
          Operations and Project Management office for Avnet
          Technology Solutions; and Sherry Willman, director of U.S.
          Sales Strategy for Microsoft Corp.

          You will be treated to appetizers, desserts, and cocktails,
          as well as a great opportunity to network with other women
          in leadership.

SPEAKER BIO:

    Shelly Barnes is the vice president of technology and process for
    Arizona Tile. Under her leadership, her group is responsible for
    all aspects of technology infrastructure, systems support,
    disaster recovery, project management, and telecommunications. In
    the last 15 years, Barnes has held IT leadership roles at Phelps
    Dodge and Safeway. Prior to that, she worked in the banking and
    construction industries, owned three businesses, and worked
    outside the United States in Brazil, Chile, and England.

    Barnes holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business
    administration from the University of Phoenix. She's currently
    involved with Race for the Cure, Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Pat
    Tillman Foundation, and the Sojourner Center.
