The Very Needed Balancing Act
                             June 27, 2006
                         Council Connect Event

WHAT: The Arizona Technology Council announces Laura Roberts, Chairman
& CEO of Pantheon Chemical, as our next speaker in the Council Connect
event series.

TOPIC OF DISCUSSION: What numbers matter most to us in the USA? Gross
domestic product is a number which is looked at most. While that
number is highly regarded, it is largely a cash flow number. What
matters most to Corporate America is the income statement. We watch
and hope for these numbers to go up but fail to pay attention to the
real scorecard -- the balance sheet. On the balance sheet, our assets
are our resources. If we deplete the assets of any business for short
term cash gains, the business will obviously not survive. As with the
depletion of our natural resources, they go away. We can't continue to
deplete them and have a sustainable healthy economy. Pantheon Chemical
and its CEO, Laura Roberts, believe that corporate America is
responsible for conducting business in a more sustainable way. While
this responsibility may not be realized by all companies, the private
sector/corporation is the best vehicle to effect massive change in the
way we conduct commerce. It may not affect our lifetime, but our
children and our grandchildren will be adversely affected by the way
in which we make things, the energy used in the process, and most
importantly the incredible amount of waste that we generate.

What does sustainability mean? Is it achievable? How can your company
operate within a more sustainable model? How do you create a balance
between people, planet, and profits? Learn how companies, like
Pantheon Chemical, are creating innovative ways to do business,
manufacture, reduce chemical waste, reduce any type of waste, use
energy more efficiently, and create more profits in the process.

Ms. Laura Roberts will also answer pre-submitted questions from
attendees. Don't forget to submit your questions when you register
for this event. Questions can be sent to mcrone@aztechcouncil.org
