Aristocrat Opens Doors to New Americas Headquarters; Las Vegas Chosen as Site for Manufacturer's North and South American Operations.

Business Editors

LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 17, 2002

Leading game and system manufacturer Aristocrat Technologies Inc. officially opened doors to its new Americas Headquarters yesterday.

The new offices, located at 7230 Amigo Street in Las Vegas, will serve as headquarters for Aristocrat's operations in both North and South America.

Aristocrat CEO Des Randall, company president Mark Newburg and Nevada Lieutenant Governor Lorraine Hunt were among the officials on hand to cut the ribbon opening the new facility.

Aristocrat is the second-largest slot manufacturer in the world, and the company's acquisition of Las Vegas-based Casino Data Systems (CDS) last year brought the American operations to Las Vegas. Since that time, Aristocrat has been extremely beneficial to Nevada's economy, paying more than $31.3 million in salaries.

Aristocrat currently employs 385 people in Nevada, 376 of which are in the Las Vegas valley.

Aristocrat strives to be a good corporate citizen and a good neighbor in Las Vegas. The company's success as a leading gaming manufacturer makes it possible for it to contribute to the well-being of the Las Vegas community where it creates profits and jobs, provides products and pays taxes. Aristocrat supports programs that improve education, the environment and health care.

The company also supports community groups, and its actions take many forms. Oftentimes community support requires a human commitment as well as financial commitment, and the company supports efforts or our people when they become involved.

For example, this past April, more than 60 Aristocrat employees turned out in support of the March of Dimes WalkAmerica, a local event to raise funds for improving the health of babies by preventing birth defects and infant mortality in Clark County. Aristocrat's team attendance was so impressive that the March of Dimes awarded the company an honor for "Top New Team."

Additionally, Aristocrat raised more than $11,000 for the March of Dimes through company donations and employee sponsorships.
