ArialPhone to Conduct Live Demonstration of Voice Input and

Control of Lantronix Premise SYS Home Automation Software

ArialPhone Corp., a Mundelein, Ill. provider of wireless Earset communication products and voice-enabling software, today announced its selection as a corporate sponsor of the Premise Gladiators Competition at the Electronic House Expo, to be held Nov. 13 and 14 at the Long Beach Convention Center.

The competition will demonstrate how a wide range of products can be easily deployed in the networked home using Premise SYS(R) home automation software from Lantronix(R) Inc. (Nasdaq:LTRX). It will take place in Premise Systems' booth, #400, throughout the duration of the show.

ArialPhone Corp.'s PC-compatible wireless communications device, the ArialPhone, will play a key role in the Gladiator event. The Gladiator sponsorship follows a September 2002 partnership announcement between ArialPhone Corp. and Lantronix, which acquired Premise Systems in January of this year. The development partnership calls for ArialPhone to provide Lantronix with a software interface to SYS for voice control of various home theatre and entertainment devices such as DVDs, televisions, projectors and audio components. The software will also add voice-control capabilities to other home-automation functions such as the control of lights and appliances.

During the Gladiators Competition, show attendees will see how homeowners can utilize ArialPhone technology to control their entertainment systems with simple, natural commands such as "play music in the family room" or "play DVD Star Wars." Users can speak through the one-ounce wearable ArialPhone Earset to turn on and control a desired electronic device regardless of location in the home.

The ArialPhone not only acts as a voice-input device for home-automation controls, but also maintains its telephony component, enabling the use of spoken commands to place telephone calls through a computer contact database, simply by saying a person's name or phone number.

Thousands of integrators who attend Electronic House Expo will be invited to compete in the Gladiators Competition. Willing competitors will be pulled from the audience and stationed, tasked and timed to rapidly configure various aspects of networked home solutions, such as turning lights on, setting a thermostat or arming a security system. Winners from each round will receive prizes and be entered into a drawing to win electronic devices, such as the ArialPhone, at the end of each day.
