Arguss Holdings Announces Closing Of Rite Cable Construction, Inc. Acquisition.


ROCKVILLE, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 6, 1997--Today, Arguss Holdings, Inc. announced the closing of its acquisition of Rite Cable Construction, Inc. of DeLand, FL. Rite Cable, whose primary operations are in the Carolinas, provides underground and aerial construction services and splicing splicing /splicĀ·ing/ (spliĀ“sing)
1. the attachment of individual DNA molecules to each other, as in the production of chimeric genes.

 for fiber optic and coaxial cable to major telecommunications customers on a national level. The purchase price, provided all performance goals are met over the next 12 months, is anticipated to be $3.5 million, to be satisfied with a combination of cash and Arguss common stock, plus the assumption of outstanding debt. Rite Cable will operate as a division of White Mountain Cable Construction Company, a wholly owned subsidiary Wholly Owned Subsidiary
